Cleaning Protocols

A Comprehensive Approach 

We will continue to follow stringent sanitation protocols for proper disinfection, operation and maintenance, as well as adding additional procedures to achieve a new level of cleanliness.

Deep Cleans

  • Continuous scheduled disinfection of high-touch surfaces throughout the club

Enhanced Procedures

  • Team members training on cleaning protocols and provided with disinfecting kits

Self-Cleaning Stations

  • Hand held sanitisation kits for use within the club
  • Easy, readily available equipment disinfectant wipes
  • Hand sanitization conveniently located throughout the club

 

 


 Social Distancing

A Safer Way to Be Together

We are taking careful actions to facilitate social distancing. Look for extra signs to guide you through each space and help us all practice social distancing.

Equipment Spacing

You will likely notice increased spacing between equipment and within workout areas to allow for appropriate social distancing. Please abide by all signage on and around the equipment.

Class Sizes

Group fitness classes will be up to a maximum of 20 participants with physical distancing requirements and will  require reservations. Please click HERE to book your classes. Kids Spaces

To help our children practice social distancing, kids club will require reservations, and ratios have been adjusted to be consistent with government guidelines.

 

 


  Team Member Safety

We’re One Healthy Community

Coffs Coast Health Club is dedicated to the Health and Safety of our entire community, including our team members. All Staff have completed COVID 19 Infection Training and will have the option to wear gloves and masks should they choose to do so. 

Please maintain a distance of at least 1.5m from everyone including the Coffs Coast Health Club Staff Team to keep everyone safe and comply with government regulations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


We’ve Increased

Safety Measures at the Clubs 

As we navigate through the reopening of our clubs, there will be some new things to expect during each phase. Amenities and classes will vary and be consistent with government guidelines. We appreciate your help and understanding as we work through this time together and appreciate your cooperation in adhering to all signage placed around the club for your safety.

 

Fitness Floor

In addition to already intensive cleaning efforts, several protocol additions are being made for further sanitation. Measures are also being taken to help practice social distancing

  • Capacity limitations – Max of 100 patrons per facility
  • As Usual All members will be required to scan their member tag upon entry for both safety within the club in the case of emergency and for use in contact tracing if necessary.
  • Equipment has been spaced or marked for social distancing – please follow signage on and around all equipment
  • Enhanced cleaning protocols with EPA-registered, virus-killing disinfectants
  • Handheld cleaning packs are required to be carried and used by all members on the gym floor, ensuring all equipment is sanitized after every use.
  • Other cleaning stations of disinfectant wipes and hand sanitisers have been spaced throughout the clubs for your convenience.
  • All Members are required to use a towel on all equipment
  • Members must have their own mat for all floor work

 

Group Fitness

Classes will be offered (varied slightly to comply with government regulations) and class capacity will be up to a maximum of 20 participants depending on physical distancing requirements (this is also consistent with current government restrictions).

  • Reservations are required for ALL studio offerings (see below)
  • Look for reservation floor indicators in your class, placed 2m apart to help practice social distancing. Please only occupy your allocated space and be considerate to other members during the transitions between classes
  • Cleaning stations, of disinfectant wipes, will be available for cleaning of equipment before and after class
  • Shared mats will no longer be available for use, all members will be required to bring their own mat and towel for all class attendance

Online classes are still available for those not ready to come back to the studio, and you may choose to upgrade your membership and access both in club and online classes together. Please see the Member Service Staff at reception or call the club on 1300 040 479 to discuss your needs.

 

Kids Club

Enhanced measures will be taken consistent with government guidelines, cleaning practices and social distancing. As with all Kids Club, space is limited and reservation is required for all ages.

  • In addition to our standard protocols, we’re implementing enhanced cleaning protocols, including: full disinfection of the space overnight using EPA-registered, virus-killing disinfectants
  • We will practice social distancing during check-in/checkout and within the Kids area
  • Removing toys that aren’t easy to clean

Please make bookings as per usual in the clubs to ensure there is space available for your child/s.

 

Personal Training

We work to provide our members and team members the best experience possible. 1:1 in club Personal Training sessions will recommence as of the 15th June. Please contact your Trainer for specific session information.

Strict social distancing regulations still apply for all personal training sessions.

Sanitizing and disinfecting all touch points will take place throughout training areas during sessions

  • To protect members and team members, we will practice social distancing of 1.5m during 1:1 sessions & eliminate any physical contact

What You Can Do

Nothing is more important than to keep ourselves, our friends, families and communities healthy. By following the advice on this page you can help support a safe, phased reopening of our clubs. Together we can do our part to help limit the spread of COVID-19, especially to those who are more vulnerable due to age, compromised immunity or pre-existing conditions.

Protect Yourself and Others

While enjoying our clubs, please follow the current government guidelines about how to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus:

  • Wash your hands vigorously and frequently
  • Use a hand sanitizer that’s at least 60% alcohol
  • Keep 1.5m apart from other people
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Masks and gloves are encouraged but not required
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick

Stay Home if You are Sick

Remember that COVID-19 may be spread by people who are asymptomatic. But if you have a fever, a cough, shortness of breath or even just feel a little run down, don’t take a chance—stay home & protect yourself and your community

Help Boost Your Immune System

Now more than ever, it’s essential to prioritize our health by helping our bodies better fight and recover from illness.

  • Get at least 20 minutes a day of exercise to prime the immune system, help combat bacteria and viruses. Even low-intensity exercise like going for a walk or slowing down with yoga or meditation helps by reducing stress.
  • Eat a nutrient-dense diet comprised of whole foods like meat, vegetables, fruits, nuts and whole grains while avoiding sugar, refined grains, processed or packaged foods.
  • Get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night to help allow your body time to perform preventive maintenance, which helps bolster the immune system.
  • Spend time outdoors to help naturally boost your vitamin D levels and/or consider supplementing with vitamin D.
  • Consider taking supplements proven to help support immunity like our high quality ZMA product or Nano Range
