Simone Saunders, the local Healthy Inspirations Weight Loss, and Wellness Coaching Manager have known Julie Schultz for some time. It wasn’t until she ran into Julie at the shops, that her journey to regaining her happy healthy self, began.
A chance meeting with Simone and some encouraging words from her lead me to Healthy Inspirations at Toormina. I had been struggling with my weight for about 10 years, I had tried many, many diets and nothing seemed to work. I had always been healthy, athletic and never overweight, but after a foot operation and some continuing health issues, my weight started to creep up until I was around 20 kilos heavier than I had ever been.
The hardest thing for me was to walk in and ask for help. Simone has been my absolute rock, she has guided me, encouraged me and never once made me feel ashamed even on the few occasions I put a little weight back on. Her mentoring has been invaluable, not only with the food side of things but she also encouraged me to get back into exercise.
I have now lost over 15 kilos and am feeling the best I have felt in years. To me, this is not a diet but a way of life. The Healthy Inspirations plan is easy to follow, shop for, prepare and maintain.
My advice to anyone struggling to lose weight or just to get healthier is… do it for yourself, picture yourself how you want to look and don’t let others sabotage you. It is ok to say no to the foods that are not good for you. Your body is your machine, if you put the wrong fuel in it, it will not function properly. Lastly, make yourself accountable to someone else. Enlist the help of a mentor like Simone.
Now that I have achieved my weight loss goal. I am looking forward to my next goal of increasing my fitness level and regaining muscle loss.
