Before you joined Coffs Coast Health Club, what was your exercise background?
Before I joined the Coffs Coast, my exercise was minimal. Previously I was a member of the gym in Bellingen. In the past few years, I have done a little exercise. I have my own cleaning business, which keeps me active; however, I would always find myself tired.
Why did you decide to change your lifestyle?
I was feeling tired, and suffering from insomnia. I had been thinking of exercising for a while; thinking and deciding are very different emotions. I wanted to make a lifestyle change to help myself and to feel good about myself and not feel sluggish and fatigued; I wanted to feel strong and comfortable in my clothes.
Has the lifestyle change assisted you in your day to day activities?
Yes! I have more energy, I feel happier in myself, and I am sleeping better. I have the fitness bug, and I’m motivated again.
What is your favorite part of working out?
That feeling of accomplishment is awesome. Feeling capable and strong. I like it when Amanda pushes me and says, “I CAN DO IT ... I GOT THIS.”
What are your health and fitness goals?
To decrease my body fat, feel strong, toned, and fantastic.
How has your Personal Trainer, Amanda, assisted you in reaching those goals?
Everyone needs a little Amanda in their pocket. She’s my smiling assassin, giving me tough love and motivation and still have a long way to go. I appreciate Amanda teaching me how to lift weights and push myself. I can do it and I love the consistency I have to meet up with Amanda twice a week. She makes our sessions fun, and she’s encouraging.
What goals have you set for the future?
To stay motivated, because it’s paramount to my well being, as I suffer from mild anxiety.
What is the most useful advice you could share?
Exercise regularly, because it is great for your physical, social and emotional health.
