What was your diet and exercise program in the past?
I have not had a diet or exercise program for several years now and have been struggling with my weight and the way I feel about myself. My weight has been slowly creeping up over the past 4 years and I could only see it getting worse and decided to set my goal weight.

So where did it all go wrong?
Always making excuses not to go to the gym and exercise. Eating too much of the wrong types of foods and drinking too much wine whilst not doing any exercise.

And how did that make you feel?
I felt horrible. I let myself down as I had always maintained a regular exercise program and maintained my health and fitness. My self-esteem plummeted and I was having to buy size 14 clothes which were not a good feeling.

Then what motivated you to find a solution to the problem?
I realized I was the heaviest weight I had been since having my two children. I wanted to have the body back that I knew was underneath. We have a gorgeous outdoor entertaining area with pool and spa and I wanted to get back into my bikini before summer.

I knew that with help from Sheree I could start to work towards my goal weight. I have kept all my size 8 and 10 clothes and now I am fitting back into all my gorgeous clothes. My husband bought me a gorgeous dress on our honeymoon 4 years ago and I wanted to get back into that dress.

How did you go about making that positive change?
I started doing PT sessions with Sheree at Coffs Coast Health Club a couple of days per week, Sheree suggested I join Healthy Inspirations and take on one of the challenges. I decided to go ahead with the challenge and 10 weeks later I have achieved my goal weight.

Why did you select Sheree as your trainer and what have you been doing together to achieve your goals?
I have known Sheree for many years outside the gym and decided to start training with Sheree because of her positive attitude and her drive to help people reach their goals. She is a fantastic person as well as a dedicated PT.

I’ve been training with Sheree three days per week. Training has been 3 x 45 minute PT sessions including strength, boxing, and cycling. I also took part in Pump classes to help with toning and conditioning. I followed the Healthy Inspirations diet which went for 10 weeks didn’t drink alcohol throughout the challenge and followed strictly to the food allowed. I weighed each Thursday evening and measures twice during the challenge to highlight the changes my body was undertaking.

What goals have you achieved so far?
My goal was to reach 61 kilos, my starting weight was 69.2, I achieved my goal weight and I am currently 60.9 kilos. My goal weight was reached in 10 weeks through the Healthy Inspirations Challenge. The reason why I gave myself 10 weeks was because I was going to Adelaide for a special occasion and it was important to me to lose weight.

What are your goals for the future?
My goal for the future is to maintain my current weight and fitness level and keep up my gym program and healthy eating.

What is the most useful advice you could share?
Never give up thinking you can make a change. It may take a while but as a result, it is worth all the hard work. IT TOOK ME 4 YEARS TO PUT IN ON AND ONLY 10 WEEKS TO LOSE IT. I feel great!
